It is located in the area of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/macedonia-timeless.com\/mac\/zanas\/zanas\/dali_ste_znaele\/kamen-most\">Stone bridge<\/a>&nbsp;to Flea Market and from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/macedonia-timeless.com\/mac\/zanas\/zanas\/dali_ste_znaele\/tvrdina-kale\">The mud<\/a>&nbsp;to the river Serava. According to the administrative division of the city, the area of the bazaar is located in the area of the municipalities of Chair and Centar. The first documented data on the existence of a shopping center on the site of today&#039;s bazaar date back to the 12th century.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\tCalais Fortress\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Skopje&nbsp;<strong>Calais Fortress<\/strong>&nbsp;is located on the hill of the same name, in the very center of&nbsp;<a title=\"Calais Fortress\" href=\"https:\/\/macedonia-timeless.com\/mac\/gradoviregioni\/gradovi\/skopje\/\">Skopje<\/a>, on the left bank of the Vardar river and partly in the western part of the bazaar. According to the current knowledge, the area where today&#039;s fortress is located was inhabited since prehistoric times, i.e. somewhere around the 4th to the 3rd millennium BC.
